5 Tips for Spring Cleaning Your Maserati

Swap The Tires

If you're an avid driver and car enthusiast, you probably make the swap to snow or cold-weather tires during the winter. Now's the time to make the switch back to all-weather tires. Not only will this make the car look cleaner, but you'll avoid damaging the snow tires, which are highly susceptible to damage in higher temperatures. When you take the old tires off, make sure to give them a thorough cleaning and, if possible, store them somewhere away from extreme temperatures.

Go to a Premium Car Wash

Unless you're unwilling to let another human being lay hands on your Maserati, take your vehicle to a high-end car wash service. Here, you can get all the dirt, grime, and salt of your car before it does considerable damage. In addition, these car washes will often offer luxury services, such as total detailing or waxing. Sure, it may cost a few extra bucks, but your car will leave the lot in top-notch condition, with an appearance that's sure to turn heads.

The Little Things

Don't forget to do the little things when it comes to your Maserati. Overlooked facets of spring cleaning the car include topping off windshield wiper fluid, replacing headlight and tail light bulbs, and replacing windshield wipers. These may not seem like pressing issues, but if you find yourself in a torrential downpour, which happens frequently during the spring, you'll be glad you went the extra mile. Plus, if you don't know how to do these jobs, it's a great time to learn as they are very easy to do.

Organize

Hopefully, your Maserati isn't full of clutter. However, if it is, the spring is a great time to do a total reorganization. Go through all the various compartments, such as the center console and glove box, and clear out all the stuff you no longer want or need. Do the same to the trunk. You can also buy inserts or cargo nets to help keep everything organized and minimize the cleaning effort later in the year.

Power Washing

Although this isn't 100 percent necessary depending on the condition of the interior, you may want to consider power washing your floor mats. Even if they don't seem particularly dirty, there's dirt and grime lurking. Give them a good spray with a soapy solution to help cut down on the mess. Cleaning your Maserati this spring is a bit of a hassle, but the rewards far outweigh the inconveniences.
